Manufacturing Engineer

Caterpillar is actively seeking a skilled and experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join their dynamic team. Your Responsibilities:

• To support the manufacturing operation by ensuring that the necessary tooling, methods, equipment, etc., are made available through coordination, the incumbent must assign a technical staff to support the shop operation.
• The assignments include tool design, assembly, manufacturing processing, cost estimating, systems planning, layout, standards, and releasing, among others, and involve the coordination of all the different disciplines.
• The incumbent is responsible for an assigned manufacturing/assembly area with staff support to provide the tooling, machines, and equipment necessary to complete the operation.
• Coordinates new machine and/or equipment installation and process changes so that the most efficient and economical manufacturing is provided.
• To ensure that equipment and space are optimally utilized, the incumbent should coordinate the layout of areas, i.e., storage areas, testing equipment, etc., so that changing production demands can be accommodated.
