HVAC Mechanical Design Engineer

X Energy LLC is actively seeking a skilled and experienced HVAC mechanical design engineer to join their dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for dedicated professionals. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring our fleet operates at peak performance, contributing directly to the safety, efficiency, and sustainability of our operations. 

Responsibilities: 

• Apply nuclear safety principles and systems engineering practices to day-to-day engineering activities, ensuring compliance with safety requirements, technical specifications, and industry standards.
• Identify, collect, review, and document engineering requirements, system interfaces, design bases, and design criteria in coordination with systems engineers, project teams, and key stakeholders.
• Support the identification and application of relevant nuclear industry codes, engineering standards, regulatory requirements, and design procedures.
• Develop, update, and maintain CAD-based engineering models and technical drawings to support system design, engineering modifications, and project documentation.
• Perform thermal-hydraulic calculations, engineering computations, and system analyses to verify that structures, systems, and components (SSCs) meet applicable performance, safety, and design requirements.
• Prepare and maintain engineering design documentation, including design basis documents, technical reports, engineering calculations, system design descriptions, and technical drawings, in accordance with approved procedures and quality standards.
