Hydraulic Engineer

NAFFCO is actively seeking a skilled and experienced Hydraulic Engineer to join their dynamic team. This exciting job opportunity is perfect for professionals passionate about hydraulic jobs and industrial maintenance. The selected candidate will ensure the fleet operates at peak performance, directly contributing to safety, efficiency, and sustainability in daily operations.

Key Duties:

1. Design & Development:

Create hydraulic systems on fire trucks including pumps, valves, cylinders, hoses, etc., for new designs or repairs. 
Development hydraulic schematics and diagrams based on technical specifications and our requirements for the fire truck application.
Collaborate on the design of functional fire you truck hydraulic systems, that integrate other fire truck systems (water pump, aerial ladder, rescue) etc., with other professional engineering teams. 

2. Testing & Validation of Systems:

Testing of hydraulic systems to ensure they meet safety, functioning and performance criteria. 
Some examples:
Simulations, trouble shooting, modification of hydraulic systems, to ensure initial design criteria are performed as directed. 
Downtime based on hydraulic system failure, determine if recommendations produced based on independent test are valid. 

3. Maintenance & Support:

Provide ongoing production maintenance, diagnostic support, and trouble shooting of hydraulic systems in operational fire trucks. 
Provide technical assistance, and expertise to service teams when the hydraulic systems require assistance during regular maintenance or repairs (i.e cylinders). 
Ongoing compliance to safety requirements/regulation and compliance to industry standards. 

4. Compliance and Documentation:

Development, design and market compliance of hydraulic systems to industry regulations, requirement for safety standards, and environmental compliance. 
Prepare technical documentation/reporting for internal use and client presentations.
