Kiewit is actively seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Coastal Hydraulic Engineer to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring our fleet operates at peak performance, contributing directly to the safety, efficiency, and sustainability of their operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a key representative for coastal hydraulic engineering at Kiewit, building strong relationships with the Western Canada Operating District and other teams involved in marine, port, maritime, and coastal projects across Canada and the U.S.
  • Lead the design efforts on early-stage engineering and design-build (EPC) projects, offering expert guidance, creating design solutions, and acting as the engineer of record.
  • Ensure all designs align with company standards, technical best practices, and quality control procedures.
  • Oversee the work of external consultants, ensuring their deliverables meet quality expectations and adhere to internal processes.
  • Act as a subject matter expert during project pursuits, helping teams identify and address risks related to ocean and hydraulic conditions while developing creative and cost-effective solutions.
  • Work closely with the design and project management teams to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
