Design Engineer

Caterpillar is actively seeking a skilled and experienced Design Engineer to join their dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional. Responsibilities:

• Lead mechanical and hydraulic system design, ensuring products meet development goals and client specifications.
• Conduct research on emerging materials and competitor products, then oversee the construction, testing, and analysis of prototypes.
• Collaborate with supply chain teams on supplier development and performance, while directing drafting and testing specialists.
• Translate functional requirements into detailed design documentation and contribute to make-or-buy decisions for product components.
• Provide support for proposal preparation, cost estimations, and technical report generation.
• Actively participate in machine assembly and resolve issues related to New Product Introduction (NPI), Current Product Improvement (CPI), and ongoing maintenance.
