Hydraulic Engineer- Proposals

ANDRITZ is actively seeking a skilled and experienced Hydraulic Engineer- Proposals to join their dynamic team. The selected candidate will ensure the fleet operates at peak performance, directly contributing to safety, efficiency, and sustainability in daily operations.

Responsibilities:

• Review specifications/drawings and client requirements and provide appropriate hydraulic solutions utilizing internal tools. Work with turbine mechanical and generator engineering disciplines in an effort to improve the solution. Work with engineering disciplines that are working on preliminary component designs, CFD and FEA analyses, and model testing. Carry out calculations to optimize the proposed solution and demonstrate feasibility to deliver without risk to ANDRITZ or the customer - this may include transients, axial hydraulic thrust, labyrinth selection and sizing, pressure fluctuation levels, etc. Write hydraulic proposals and technical data sheets. Take the initiative in showing creativity to manage hydraulic risk - this will include recognizing potential issues, documenting them, and being prepared with new innovative solutions. Engage in technical discussions with various stakeholders and a spirit of collaboration.
