Thermal Development Technician

SpaceX is actively seeking a skilled and experienced  Thermal Development Technician to join their dynamic team. RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform maintenance on several types of machinery, including vacuum chambers, thermal chambers, CNC machines, and robotic welders.
• Ensure that all robotic equipment is properly maintained and that all robotic equipment is operated correctly to ensure proper operation.
• Replace / Install electrical components (switches, relays, contactors, transformers, rectifiers, circuit breakers, fuses, and sensors for temperature/pressure/position).
• Replace / Install mechanical components (bearings, bushings, motors, shafts, collars, couplings, pulleys, belts, gears, chains, rollers, pumps, valves, hoses, and o-rings) for a variety of systems.
• Help manufacture ceramic refractory billets, ceramic tiles, thermal gap fillers, coatings, or other ceramic materials that are needed to produce a thermal protection system capable of providing adequate temperature protection.
• Assist with manufacturing, surface preparation, adhesive, and oven curing.
• Write down each process that is performed in order to recreate step by step the material processing.
• Inspect and repair as needed.
