Lift and move objects, machinery, containers, or cargo using the designated heavy equipment (friction cranes or hydraulic lattice boom cranes) in a safe and effective manner.
To make sure lifts are carried out within the crane's specified load and radius capabilities, use load charts.
Examine the crane's equipment every day, looking for any issues such as worn cables, damaged gears, housing, or bands on hoisting mechanisms. Then, let the foreman know if there are any maintenance or repair needs.
Perform routine maintenance on assigned equipment, including cleaning, oiling, greasing, and fueling. Prior to lifting operations, check the rigging and make sure the loads are positioned precisely.
Assist in putting the boom and lifting cables on the crane, as well as in assembling and disassembling it.
