Electrical Design Engineer - Fire Fighting Trucks & Vehicles

NAFFCO is actively seeking a skilled and experienced electrical design engineer—firefighting trucks & vehicles—to join their dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for dedicated professionals. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring our fleet operates at peak performance, contributing directly to the safety, efficiency, and sustainability of our operations. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and build strong electronic and electrical systems for firefighting vehicles, emergency vehicles, and specialized commercial vehicles, making sure that all solutions adhere to the most recent standards of the industry and to customer specifications.
• Review, create, and edit electrical wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, and layout plans for the control and electrical systems of vehicles. systems, which incorporate safety communications, suppression, and safety technologies.
• Facilitate the integration of sirens, pumps, lighting, telemetry diagnostics, and fire suppression controls to vehicle CAN bus technology and current electrical systems in the chassis.
• Cooperate closely with the mechanical and hydraulic teams of engineers for body design to optimize the performance of vehicle systems, their quality, and reliability.
• Create technical submissions, documents, and bespoke proposals that comply with the firefighting standards and the regulatory requirements.
• Troubleshoot, solve, or document electrical engineering problems during the prototype build as well as testing and production phases of the lifecycle.
