Heavy Equipment Operator

Amwaste seeks a skilled and experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join their dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional who is passionate about maintaining and repairing a wide range of heavy-duty equipment used in environmental services. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring our fleet operates at peak performance, contributing directly to their operations' safety, efficiency, and sustainability.

Duties
 

• Conduct pre- and post-operation inspection of equipment according to Company policy for the maintenance and safety of equipment. Operate equipment safely and efficiently including: forklift, excavator, bulldozer, rock truck, front-end loader and other equipment following proper safety standards.
• Maintain monitoring of waste for signs of unacceptable waste in materials.
• Regularly check equipment condition to make sure that it is operational at all times to reduce down time; wash tracks or wheels on equipment, as necessary.
  Perform minor equipment service and report, sending more complex mechanical problems to the Maintenance Shop for repair.
• Fill out Equipment Condition Report and other reports, as required; inform supervisor of necessary repairs, as required.
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures required.
• Carry out other work-related tasks as directed.
