Hydraulics Design Engineer

Astec is actively seeking a skilled and experienced Hydraulics Design Engineer to join their dynamic team. Deliverables and Accountabilities: 

• Perform hydraulic design engineering in relation to projects involving the development and enhancement of Astec products.
  
  Utilize 3-D CAD efficiently to model designs and optimize solutions with Automation Studio and other engineering tools. 
  
  Make, review, and keep up-to-date detailed engineering drawings and specifications. 
  
  Oversee engineering modifications in accordance with established business protocols. 
  
  Engage with production staff to identify and resolve manufacturing and/or design problems and put cost-cutting suggestions for the product into action. 
  
  Employ root cause analysis and other problem-solving techniques to identify areas for product improvement and put remedial measures in place. 
  
  In charge of meeting deadlines and management-established standards 
  
  Serve as a technical resource when required to support other departmental needs, including purchasing, operations, quality, service, etc.
