Marketing.com is actively seeking a skilled and experienced Material Handler to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring our fleet operates at peak performance, contributing directly to the safety, efficiency, and sustainability of their operations.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Operate a propane forklift. The hand controls operate the forks or clamp, but there are foot controls for forward, backward, and brake.
• Inspect the condition of the truck prior to each shift, using the inspection checklist. Inform the supervisor of any problems.
• Change propane tank, if needed, as this requires lifting by hand. See the attached Procedure for Changing Propane Tank.
• Check all magazine signatures, covers, and other stock items prior to moving them into any machine area for the correct title and month of each edition.
• Move skids of material into the loading area as necessary for the neat and safe production of books using the pallet jack and forklift.
• Help loaders and packers remove empty skids.
• Stage the next incoming job for easy access by understanding and possessing the bindery production schedule.
• Count books on finished skid to confirm skid count. Sign off on the load flag.
