Material Handler

Vermeer is actively seeking a skilled and experienced Material Handler to join their dynamic team. The selected candidate will ensure the fleet operates at peak performance, directly contributing to safety, efficiency, and sustainability in daily operations.

Your Responsibilities

1. Review production orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to identify what items need to be moved, gathered or distributed.

2. Transport materials and items via hand or powered truck from receiving or production area to intended area across the manufacturing facility.

3. Open boxes, crates and other containers.  Sort and put materials on racks, shelves or in bins as outlined in standard work, or predetermined sequence (for example part number, commodity, size, product code).

4. Fill requisitions, work orders or requests for material, tools or other stock items and deliver to production work areas.

5. Label materials with identifying information.

6. Weigh or count items for distribution to ensure conformance to standard work and company policy.
