Roland Machinery is actively seeking a skilled and experienced Service assistant manager to join their dynamic team. Responsibilities:

  • Directly assists the Service Manager for assistance with the Service Department operations
  • Maintain positive customer relations within the geographic area covered by the RMC service center regarding all matters related to RMC service.
  • Promote all aspects of RMC Service with customers and the RMC Sales Team
  • Create service opportunities.
  • Control workflows to include service requests, scheduling, and buying.
  • Implement and support process improvement, standard work instructions, and process improvement guidelines.
  • Create a safe work environment.
  • Alongside the Service Manager, they manage Service personnel in accordance with RMC guidelines.
  • Every day, post hourly hours of work per Technician, according to their respective work instructions. Keep a weekly spreadsheet of hourly employee hours to pay the payroll. Complete work order information promptly. entry to include technician's labour hours, mileage, as well as any additional charges.
  • Service department H/R resources and the new hire document creation, injury report, MSHA & DOT reporting, and archiving department MSDS documents
  • Perform the departments' warranty claims in accordance with each manufacturer's policies and procedures, and forward the claims to the division's Warranty Administrator for submission to the division's finalization. The branch in charge is accountable for warranty recovery, so a monthly report and discussions help us increase awareness and ultimately recover
  • Check all external vendor invoices for our service repair and the assets of our service department, like building and service repair of trucks
  • Monitor, organize, and maintain a proper stock of the service department's basic equipment and misc. truck-related supplies, RMC hard copy service documents, as well as Roland Machinery decals and data tags
  • Coordinate the mandatory parts and service safety meetings with the Service Manager. Send signed rosters and reports to the corporate office
  • Control the activities of the service department during the absence of the Service Manager
