Service Technician - Grand Junction, IA (m/f/d)

Nordex is actively seeking a skilled and experienced Service Technician—Grand Junction, IA (m/f/d) to join their dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for dedicated professionals. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring our fleet operates at peak performance, contributing directly to the safety, efficiency, and sustainability of our operations. 

Responsibilities:

• Repair and maintenance of wind turbine generators as well as related equipment used at the wind farm.
• Support of 24/7/365 wind farm operations, which includes shift rotation, overtime, and on-call work.
• Conduct, review, and support safety assessments of electrical sources, energy sources, and mechanical dangers prior to and during the course of any work task at the wind farm wind turbines, the switch room, or the O&M building.
• Assist with root cause analyses to determine the root cause of equipment malfunctions.
• Maintain and complete documentation for preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks in a safe and efficient manner on wind turbines as well as the associated equipment at the wind farm.
• Make use of appropriate safety gear, including protective equipment and control or dissipation or distribution of energy sources, to make sure that work is carried out safely.
• Keep equipment and tools in good working order.
• Keep up with the required training certificates and certifications.
• The complete Lock-Out Tag-Out (LOTO) JSEAs and other job-specific documents that are necessary to carry out safe repairs and maintenance.
• Learn to read and interpret the electrical or hydraulic circuit diagrams.
• Use computer skills, including MS Office.
• Prioritize and organize work, adhere to deadlines, and write reports and plans.
