Wastewater Modellers

Jacobs is actively seeking two skilled and experienced wastewater modellers to join their dynamic team. The selected candidate will ensure the fleet operates at peak performance, directly contributing to safety, efficiency, and sustainability in daily operations. 

Responsibilities: 

• Assist with technical delivery and help the project manager in ensuring the successful delivery of clearly defined technical solutions.
• Experiential experience in hydraulic modeling for networks (InfoWorks ICM).
• Participate as an integral part of teams for various projects, including modeling and verification, using existing models to study the system's performance.
• Optioneering and development of solutions for flood along with CSO drivers.
• Engage directly with various staff within the organizations of our clients and have face-to-face progress meetings.
• Analyze, investigate, and fix drainage network problems.
• Scope network surveys to support models with updates.
• Review and monitor weekly survey submissions from contractors.
• Maintain and build hydraulic models.
• Provide technical reports and studies on hydraulic modeling.
• Design and implement model-based engineering solutions to minimize the effects of development, address problems with flooding in sewers, and address problems with overflows that are not satisfactory.
• Assist in the preparation of cost estimates to aid in modeling.
• Supervise the field surveys and site surveys.
• Develop, plan, coordinate, and write reports for specific projects.
• Offer guidance and assistance for engineers and technicians who are preparing to become graduate engineers.
