DREDGE MECHANIC

NMDC Group is actively seeking a skilled and experienced DREDGE MECHANIC to join their dynamic team. Responsibilities:

• Conduct maintenance and troubleshooting as well as repair on mechanical components of Cutter Suction Dredgers (CSD).
• Maintain the cutter head as well as the ladder, winches, and spud system, gearboxes, pumps, and systems for hydraulics.
• Perform regular preventive as well as corrective maintenance in accordance with the PMS schedule.
• Overhaul dredge pumps and valves, pipelines for slurry, and any other accessories.
• Check for problems with marine gearboxes, diesel engines, or the mechanical drive system.
• Make sure that the alignment is correct, lubrication is in place, and vibration monitoring for rotating equipment.
• Coordinate with the Chief Engineer and crew members onboard during dry-docking and breakdowns.
• Keep track of the inventory of crucial spare parts and report on consumption needs.
• Use safety procedures, permit-to-work systems, and environmental standards.
• Maintain up-to-date maintenance logs and technical documents as per the corporate and class specifications.
