Heavy Duty Mechanic

Gobulk is actively seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Duty Mechanic to join their dynamic team. The selected candidate will ensure the fleet operates at peak performance, directly contributing to safety, efficiency, and sustainability in daily operations.

Responsibilities:

• Perform regular inspections, diagnostics, and preventive maintenance on trucks as well as trailers.
• Maintain and repair the transmission, engines, brakes, and steering systems, electrical systems, as well as other vehicle parts.
• Repairs to roadside emergencies when needed to reduce the time of breakdown.
• Check for the compliance of the safety standards and regulations for transportation across borders (Canada-USA).
• Maintain accurate records of service and record all repairs and maintenance work performed.
• Assist the drivers and other personnel in resolving mechanical issues quickly.
• Participate in the on-call rotation, usually one week per month.
• Help to ensure the continuous improvement process through recommending, implementing, and encouraging the best methods for the maintenance of fleets.
