Senior Mechanical Estimator (Hydraulic & Mining Equipment Refurbishment)

Emapta is actively seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Mechanical Estimator (Hydraulic & Mining Equipment Refurbishment) to join their dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for dedicated professionals. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring our fleet operates at peak performance, contributing directly to the safety, efficiency, and sustainability of our operations. 

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Create accurate and precise cost estimates for repairs and rehabilitation of heavy mining equipment.
• Estimate the hydraulic components of axles, cylinders wheel hubs, pumps and general fabrication tasks
• Translate technical drawings into specifications to define the scope of work
• Make technical drawings using CAD/CAM or other engineering software when necessary.
• Find suppliers to source materials, determine prices, and verify the availability
• Source steel raw components, hydraulic materials, Consumables, replacement components
• Complete detailed costings of the job that include materials, labor, and subcontracting services
• Work with workshop staff and technical staff to define the scope of the workshop and eliminate any doubts
• Team members communicate across teams to record all commercial and technical aspects of the job.
• Concurrently manage multiple estimates while meeting deadlines
