Field Mechanic

Forgen is actively seeking a skilled and experienced Field Mechanic to join their dynamic team. The selected candidate will ensure the fleet operates at peak performance, directly contributing to safety, efficiency, and sustainability in daily operations.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and identify equipment failures.
• Conduct routine maintenance on company-owned and rented vehicles.
• Perform repairs and diagnose issues with engines, fuel systems, final drives, hydraulic components such as pumps, motors, and valves, as well as all associated parts, electrical systems, and air systems.
• Create service reports that correctly record all activities.
• Ensure all necessary documentation, such as work orders, parts lists, and timecards, is prepared accurately and promptly.
• Adhere to the manufacturer's and company's service guidelines and procedures to guarantee safe and high-quality work, while preserving and recording component failure data for precise failure analysis.
• Ensure a secure workplace and follow all safety procedures, regulations, policies, and guidelines.
  Interact with equipment and field managers in ways that foster positive relationships.
• Welding, manufacturing, and tools inventory control.
  Familiarity with diesel technology, electronics, gear systems, and hydraulics.
• Open to traveling; willing to work extra hours when necessary, while adhering to labor laws.
• Ability to obtain certification for operating a Forklift or Boom Lift.
• Take on extra tasks and special projects as instructed.
