Tallgrass Energy is actively seeking a skilled and experienced Equipment & Controls Technician to join their dynamic team. Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all tasks in connection with the integrity of electrical and control systems. This includes design, installation, inspection operations, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, calibration, and adjusting different electric, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electronic, as well as Programmable Logic (PLC) control systems.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance checks for drivers, compressors, pumps, and other equipment.
  • Do Inspection and Maintenance (I & M) inspections on every control system.
  • Maintain the electrical switch gear as well as the power distribution.
  • Perform advanced engine/compressor/pump analytical testing and troubleshooting.
  • Develop and implement changes based on the results of the testing.
  • Evaluation/development/implementation/maintenance of facility grounding systems.
  • Responsible for the overall maintenance, upkeep, janitorial, and housekeeping tasks of all equipment and facilities when needed.
  • All work must be done in compliance with company regulations, procedures, standards, and tariff requirements.
  • Recognize, report, and rectify environmental and safety issues.
  • Documentation must be completed promptly.
  • Supervise the maintenance, construction, and/or tasks carried out by third parties.
  • Show performance towards operational excellence.
  • Manage a range of people with tact, respect, and professionalism.
  • Communicate clearly using high-quality listening and speaking skills.
  • Keep a reliable and regular attendance record.
  • Continuously provide high-performance results that meet the highest expectations
  • Flexible hours are available if necessary.
  • Maintain Operator Qualification for any covered task assigned to him as determined by the Management.
  • Maintain a high level of respect for the security of your personnel as well as the assets of the company, employees, and the public at large.
  • Other weekly, daily, or monthly tasks as specified and described.
