Tallgrass Energy is actively seeking a skilled and experienced Equipment & Controls Technician to join their dynamic team. Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all aspects in connection with the integrity of control and electrical systems, including design, installation, maintenance, as well as operation, troubleshooting, repair, calibration, and adjusting various electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic, as well as Programmable Logic (PLC) control systems.
  • Perform preventative maintenance checks for pumps, compressors, drivers, and the auxiliary equipment.
  • Conduct Inspection and Maintenance (I & M) inspections on every control system.
  • Maintain the electrical switch gear as well as the power distribution.
  • Perform advanced engine/compressor/pump analytical testing and troubleshooting.
  • Develop and implement changes arising from the testing.
  • Evaluation/development/implementation/maintenance of facility grounding systems.
  • Responsible for the overall maintenance of janitorial, housekeeping, and general upkeep tasks of all facilities and equipment, as required.
  • All work must be done in compliance with the Company's regulations, procedures, standards, and tariff requirements.
  • Recognize, report, and address environmental and safety issues.
  • Documentation must be completed promptly.
  • Supervise the maintenance, construction, and/or work carried out by third parties.
  • Perform to demonstrate excellence in operation.
  • Be able to deal with a variety of people with tact, respect, and professionalism.
  • Communication must be clear and concise, using high-quality listening and verbal skills.
  • Keep a reliable and regular attendance record.
  • Continuously provide high-performance results that exceed expectations.
  • Can work outside of traditional hours as necessary.
  • Maintain Operator Qualification for the assigned tasks covered as per the direction of Management.
  • Maintain a high level of respect for the security of your personnel as well as employees, company assets, and the rest of society.
