Mechanical Technician

GE Vernova is actively seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Technician to join their dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional who is passionate about maintaining and repairing equipment used in environmental services. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring our fleet operates at peak performance, contributing directly to the safety, efficiency, and sustainability of their operations.

Important Tasks & Obligations: 

• To ascertain appropriate work methods, review technical documentation, schematic drawings, and blueprints.
  Install machinery and equipment in industrial facilities by blueprints, layout plans, and other drawings. 
• Utilize a range of hand, power, pneumatic, and hydraulic tools to disassemble and reassemble machinery and equipment. 
• Maintain and repair power tools, hand tools, and training equipment mechanically and electrically. 
• Use trucks, hoists, cranes, and chain falls to move machinery and equipment. 
• Use hoists, squares, rules, micrometers, plumb bobs, dial indicators, and/or laser alignment devices to align machinery and equipment. 
• Carry out welding and machining tasks to create different components for the training apparatus in the lab and shop.
