Actuator Service Technician

Electrical Actuator Technician

• Assist with testing, troubleshooting, disassembly, repair, and re-assembly of electric actuators either at the shop or at customer's locations.
• Establish what the electrical and mechanical components will need repaired from technical drawings and various measuring devices
• Overhaul and repair various types of electric actuators from brands including Limitorque, Bettis, EIM, Auma, and Rotork.
• Must be able to troubleshoot basic electric and electronic circuitry including reading and interpreting electrical and electronic diagrams.
  Must know or learn how electric actuators interface with the valves; multi-turn vs quarter-turn; and the different types of valves as it relates to actuator settings: close on position vs close on torque.
  Ability to determine what level a subject matter expert is on to determine ability on all types of electrical actuators type.
  Set up and take down needed repair materials in both shop and field locations.
