Controls Technician / Maintenance Technician

Hitachi is actively seeking a skilled and experienced Industrial Controls Technician / Maintenance Technician to join their dynamic team. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Provides emergency/unscheduled repair of production equipment during production and scheduled maintenance repair of production equipment during machine service.
• Prepares machinery for scheduled production runs and sets up machinery.
• Performs mechanic skills, including but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
  Check, repair and maintain equipment observing and correcting defects.  Replace defective parts and make necessary adjustments to ensure proper machine operation.
• Modify machine tools as needed to enable performance of specified operations.
• Operate various machine tools to fabricate replacement parts, based on drawings or old parts for dimensional requirements.
• Check and audit defective parts for dimensional conformance using various fixed and hand held measuring devices.  Identify and eliminate problems within department affecting efficiency, quality, or safety.
