Industrial Controls Technician

Flex is actively seeking a skilled and experienced Industrial Controls Technician to join their dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional who is passionate about maintaining and repairing equipment used in environmental services. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring our fleet operates at peak performance, contributing directly to the safety, efficiency, and sustainability of their operations.

A typical day may include:

• Supporting Automation Technicians by troubleshooting mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems and components to return equipment to production. 
• Setting up and troubleshooting motion control systems, Servo motors/drives, and VFDs. 
  Troubleshooting, maintaining, and updating in line vision systems and vision system integrations, for example Cognex. 
• Planning out, implementing and performing functional verifications for PLC and HMI software upgrades. 
• Reading and understanding technical manuals, electrical schematics, different programs and mechanical diagrams being to read the complexity of automated system drawings.
