The worker-crane operator will:
Technical proficiency in tasks, work procedures, and safe equipment operation is required.
To operate a crane safely and effectively, choose and attach the appropriate lifting equipment.
Engage in ongoing hands-on training for novice crane operators.
Demonstrates the capacity to implement procedures that meet legal requirements as well as industry-wide standards or guidelines.
Identifies maintenance needs by performing a daily pre-operational inspection of cranes.
The capacity to operate with little supervision and adhere to precise instructions.
Have a solid understanding of the tools used in rigging and crane operations.
Demonstrated aptitude for using and interpreting load charts.
Uses the personal protective equipment [PPE] that is mandated by OSHA.
Must be able to react to commands and sounds, both spoken and audible.
