Drill Operator

Maine Drilling & Blasting Inc is actively seeking a skilled and experienced Drill Operator to join their dynamic team. The selected candidate will ensure the fleet operates at peak performance, directly contributing to safety, efficiency, and sustainability in daily operations.

Responsibilities:

• Be sure to perform every drill and construction activity in compliance with the job plan to meet production expectations.
• Implement Safety Procedures and Policies, routine maintenance activities to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the equipment, such as Epiroc top Hammer Drills
  Learn about the different drill patterns and terms, then follow drill patterns and layouts as determined by the Blaster Foreman
• Make the most of every drill, tool, and piece of equipment
• Inventory accessories, know the costs of accessories, maintenance drills, and accessories
• Inform the Blasting Supervisor about terrain conditions and problems.
• Know how to use the Field Accounting system and be capable of accurately completing and sending timely drilling reports, hole sheets, and timecards signed by the employee.
• Physical acuity
• Participate in meetings for safety, Foreman's, job-specific, and daily heads-up
• The ability to work without supervision while ensuring safety and efficient workplace practices
• Full Driller I and Driller II certifications for training.
• Other duties as per the assignment
