Production Operator (Extrusion)

Spartech is actively seeking a skilled and experienced Production Operator (Extrusion)  to join their dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional in maintaining and repairing a wide range of heavy-duty equipment used in environmental services. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring our fleet operates at peak performance, contributing directly to the safety, efficiency, and sustainability of their operations.
 

Key Duties to include:

• Check process sheet for every job assigned to ensure set-up and materials provided will produce product needed.
• Set up and run an extruder to make quality sheet as described on the process sheet at rates established within posted tolerances and streak and contamination free.
• Execute safe start up and shut down of extrusion line as needed.
• Conduct first piece inspection and hourly quality inspections confirming gauge, size, squareness, opacity, surface condition. and overall appearance of the sheet.
• Collaborate with Extrusion Utility on future color or material changes.
• Grind webbing from downstream processes as available since like colors are extruded.
