Equipment Operator

McGee Construction is actively seeking a skilled and experienced Equipment Operator to join their dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional who is passionate about maintaining and repairing equipment used in environmental services. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring our fleet operates at peak performance, contributing directly to the safety, efficiency, and sustainability of their operations.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

• Heavy Equipment Operation: Safely operate construction equipment (e.g., excavator, bulldozer, crane, loader) to produce a certain outcome by way of digging, grading, and lifting materials.
• Site preparation: support site clearing, excavating, trenching, and grading to prepare a job site for the next construction activity.
• Safety: Adhere to safety policies and procedures while actively mitigating risk to support a safe work environment. Check the equipment prior to starting each day and before each piece of equipment to ensure its operation.
• Maintenance: maintain good working conditions and equipment appearances, including periodic cleaning, while safely reporting any issues to the direct supervisor or maintenance department.
• Support the project team by being available and working under the direction of qualified site personnel (e.g., foreman and supervisors) to support their knowledge of project schedule sequencing and project specifications.
