An overview of the position
The core duties of this position are as follows:
• Communicate with internal and external clients about hydraulic engineering aspects; • Work with hydraulic design engineers and mechanical engineering to ensure smooth project execution while adhering to the technical requirements of the project;
Participate actively in model testing in our European laboratories; serve as a hydraulic expert for cavitation inspections and performance test witness at power plant locations across Canada; keep an eye on the budgets and timelines for the development of hydraulic turbine passages for new machinery and rehabilitation projects; conduct transient analysis; work directly with the hydraulic laboratory team in Linz, Austria, to develop model turbines; and support and contribute to the definition and advancement of hydraulic engineering processes.
