Intermediate Engineer -Backfill

Hatch is actively seeking a skilled and experienced intermediate engineer—backfill—to join their dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for dedicated professionals. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring our fleet operates at peak performance, contributing directly to the safety, efficiency, and sustainability of our operations. 

Responsibilities:

• At least 2+ years of relevant experience
• Collaborate with project managers to complete various tasks related to backfill projects.
• Assist in the design and engineering of all kinds of backfill systems, including paste, hydraulic, and cemented rockfill (CRF).
• Designs of backfilling systems for paste as well as other related process units cement storage and logistics pipelines for tailings the paste plant, boreholes underground distribution system, booster stations, etc.
• Mix design for backfill and process optimizations, as well as testing work.
• Collaborate with vendors and clients as well as other contractors to finish the project's deliverables.
• The ability to analyze hydraulic fluids is essential. The candidate must demonstrate experience working with hydraulic software and be able to analyze the results.
• The candidate should demonstrate ability to design pipelines, such as pipe size materials, valve selection, material selection, and construction expertise.
• The ability to analyze information in a short time can be a valuable asset.
