Maintenance Fitter

Dawn Meats is actively seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Fitter to join their dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for dedicated professionals.  The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring our fleet operates at peak performance, contributing directly to the safety, efficiency, and sustainability of their operations.

Key functions and duties/objectives:

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on beef processing equipment in the meat plant, including conveyors, motors/gearboxes, and packaging.
• Identify mechanical issues, troubleshoot malfunctions, and develop and implement solutions to reduce downtime.
  Work in conjunction with the maintenance department to plan and execute a preventive maintenance plan to maximize the useful life and use of the equipment.
• Replace and repair materials such as motors, bearings, belts, and hydraulic cylinders.
• Comply with safety, quality, and company operations.
  Maintain adequate records of maintenance and equipment history.  
• Complete training and review the SOPs on compliance.
