Maintenance Technician

GFL Environmental is actively seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Equipment Technician to join their dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional who is passionate about maintaining and repairing a wide range of heavy-duty equipment used in environmental services. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring our fleet operates at peak performance, contributing directly to the safety, efficiency, and sustainability of their operations.

Job Duties:

• Execute electrical abilities, such as fixing electrical controls, equipment, and wiring, and also troubleshooting, installation, and fixing electrical parts.
• Support repair of manufacturing equipment in efficient and timely fashion as required with repair of manufacturing equipment.
• Execute and support highly diversified tasks to fix, service, and installation of machinery, tools, and equipment.
• Support emergency/unscheduled maintenance repairs of manufacturing equipment.
  Troubleshoot problems, replace or repair components, test and make adjustments.
• Execute simple machinist abilities for building parts as required.
• Execute mechanic capabilities such as, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and the repair of blown film extruders and ancillary machinery.
• Execute preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and facilities.
  Obey safety codes and work in a clean and organized workspace
