Assembly Mechanic

Astec is actively seeking a skilled and experienced Assembly Mechanic to join their dynamic team. The selected candidate will ensure the fleet operates at peak performance, directly contributing to safety, efficiency, and sustainability in daily operations.

Key Responsibilities & Activities

• Cleans, assembles, and machines component parts, machined components, and sub-assemblies.
• To complete tasks, use various hand tools, pneumatic and hydraulic tools, as well as precision measuring instruments.
• Hand file, hone stones, or portable pneumatic grinding machines can be used to remove burrs, rough spots, and other imperfections from parts.
• Overhead cranes and forklifts are used to transport materials and parts into and out of the work area, and to assemble large pieces.
• Under supervision, perform minor repairs, adjustments or setups on equipment or machines.
• Report any problem to the Department Supervisor or Team Leader immediately.
• Other duties may include basic welding and washing of components or assemblies, as well as primer and painting.
