Oilgear is actively seeking a skilled and experienced Assembly & Test Technician to join their dynamic team. Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Carry out a range of assembly and testing operations, including the assembly of complex or large and costly equipment, apparatus, or systems, to close tolerances and strict inspection requirements.
  • Conduct skilled fitting of parts, sub-assemblies, and related assemblies.
  • Carry out alignment, adjustments, and any necessary secondary machining.
  • Follow assembly drawings and specifications, which can, on occasion, be complicated.
  • Carry out the prescribed functional and dimensional checks.
  • Set up and operate test stand equipment with no guidance.
  • Produce high-quality assemblies and develop knowledge of the potential for defects or malfunctions and remedy them as required.
  • Maintain or exceed the approved production rate.
  • Maintain an acceptable attendance record, an acceptable overall work record, and purchase tools as required by the classification.
