Field Service Technician

United Rentals is actively seeking a skilled and experienced field service technician to join their dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for dedicated professionals. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring our fleet operates at peak performance, contributing directly to the safety, efficiency, and sustainability of our operations. 

Responsibilities:

• Perform inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on a range of gasoline and diesel-powered vehicles as well as heavy equipment, including truck dumpers, buckets, and other utility vehicles that are specially designed for the job.
• Repair and troubleshoot complex issues that arise in the electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and braking systems.
• Make sure you are performing routine preventive maintenance, such as maintenance of tires, oil changes, and lubrication, in order to ensure the longevity of your fleet and performance.
• Use diagnostic software and manuals to find out what is wrong and determine the most efficient option for you.
• Conduct welding and fabrication to ensure the repair of equipment and for modification if required.
• Maintain timely and accurate service logs, repair logs, and documents.
• Make sure all work conforms to the federal, state, and workplace safety standards and procedures.
• Conduct annual DOT and dielectric testing on equipment with insulation.
• Other tasks as required
