Fitter & Turner

Weir is actively seeking a skilled and experienced Fitter & Turner to join their dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring our fleet operates at peak performance, contributing directly to the safety, efficiency, and sustainability of their operations.

Principal Duties: 
 

• Operation: Set up and run a CNC lathe and horizontal and vertical borer (3-5 axis). Machine parts according to the specifications in a timely and high-quality manner. Work with a 12-micron tolerance. Sign off on the first component.
• Technical: Examine and modify CNC program sets, determine inserts, and perform any necessary troubleshooting. Using measuring devices, such as verniers, telescopic gauges, thread and blade microphones, bore microphones, hard part machining, and outside and inside microphones. Maintain machine safety and 5S housekeeping.
