About the role
We are looking for an experienced Hydraulic Engineer/Workshop Machinist to join our high-performing team to perform essential repairs and refurbishments to keep industry moving. This means using your machining and hydraulic knowledge to work on a variety of tasks – from machining to repairs – helping ensure that equipment is working at peak performance. You will also ensure the workshop is always safe and of high-quality and participate in the delivery of our 24/7 breakdown service as part of the shared on-call roster. Other key responsibilities will include:
•Manual operation of a lathe workshop machinery to manufacture and re-machine hydraulic components
•Disassembly, rebuild and repair of valves, pumps, motors and cylinders
•Repairs to cylinders such as re-tubing, re-shafting and re-sealing
•Customer contact to provide updates, explain repairs and build relationships
