Senior Design Engineer

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (CRITICAL FUNCTIONS)

• Comply with company processes for Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) from both a documentation and procedure standpoint.
• Design and/or develop new hydraulic systems and components, or improve existing designs, making use of core engineering principles for industrial power equipment and tools.
• Manage design projects from concept to production demonstrating good time management and generating quality engineering deliverables.
• Lead design reviews, DFMEA/PFMEA efforts and root cause analysis of field conditions.
• Create/revise 2D drawings and 3D models utilizing SolidWorks.
• Ensure designs meet operational requirements for functionality, performance, reliability and safety.
• Prepare engineering documentation including drawings, hydraulic schematics, BoM (Bill of Materials) and material/part number creation.
• Maintain proper records for all designs, and version control using SolidWorks PDM.
• Cooperate across project management, manufacturing, procurement and quality departments to establish timelines and provide project deliverables.
