Maintenance Mechanic

B&G Foods is actively seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Mechanic to join their dynamic team. Responsibilities:

• Maintains and repairs, according to the operating manuals, diagrams, and specifications from the manufacturer. Plant machinery and mechanical equipment that are specific to the job.
• Analyzes and diagnoses manufacturing equipment and machinery problems, and repairs and replaces malfunctioning parts using hand instruments and power tools. Then, the technician begins machines and equipment to test their capabilities.
• Safely prevents on-the-job accidents by working and maintaining equipment efficiently and safely way to reduce the risk of injury to employees and the damage to equipment as well as inventory.
• Adjusts and calibrates production machinery and equipment in order to increase operational efficiency by using hand equipment.
• Offers technical assistance in the manufacturing department during setting up and changing over in the production process.
• Performs preventive maintenance on equipment and machinery and records tasks completed in preventive maintenance documents.
• Discovers ways to improve production processes by monitoring the processes of work and working with line staff.
• Modifies equipment and machinery according to the direction of Management in order to enhance the performance of machinery and equipment.
• Rebuilds and replaces functional components of production equipment.
• Collaboration with external vendors to increase the maintenance capabilities.
• Other tasks are performed as required. Not a primary function.
• Keeps the workplace clean and safe environment by observing safety protocols, rules, regulations, and GMPs for the facility.
