Maintenance Mechanic

Responsibilities:

• Repairs and maintains following the operating manuals, diagrams, and specifications of the manufacturer, plant machinery, and mechanical equipment that are specific to the operation.
• Diagnoses and analyzes the performance of production equipment and machinery malfunctions. Repairs, services, and replaces damaged parts with hand equipment and power tools. begins with machines and equipment to test their capabilities.
• Safely prevents on-the-job injury by using and fixing equipment safely and effectively to reduce the risk of injury to employees as well as damage to equipment and inventory.
• Assists in maintaining sanitary conditions during work.
• Makes adjustments and calibrations on production equipment and machinery to increase the efficiency of operations with hand equipment.
• Offers technical assistance for the department responsible for production with the setup and transition in the production process.
• Performs preventive maintenance of equipment and machinery and records tasks completed in preventive maintenance documents.
• Finds ways to improve the efficiency of production by monitoring procedures and working with line staff.
• Modifies equipment and machinery in accordance with the Engineering Department to improve functional performance.
• Rebuilds and replaces functional components of manufacturing machinery.
• Collaboration with external vendors to increase the maintenance capabilities.
• Assists and consults with the Engineering Department in the implementation and modifications of maintenance programs.
• Maintenance and repair of the exterior elements of the dust collection system.
• Performs other tasks as needed, but not a vital function.
