Heavy Equipment Operator

Vestas is actively seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join their dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operates all types of heavy equipment including but not limited to Class 1-7 equipment,  Mobile Gantry Crane rated to lift over 40 Ton, Reach Stacker/Container Handler rated to lift over 50 Ton, Forklift rated to lift over 20 Ton, Single/dual axle remote steer Dolly, Tractor rated to lift with 3 point, PTO, Front end Loader, Grader, Compaction Roller, Skid Steer, Telescopic Forklift rated to lift over 12k. 
• Operates all Heavy equipment safely and efficiently according to all applicable legislation, policies and procedures; Safely performs both standard and non-standard lifts on objects weighing up to 9 tons at a maximum length of 200’ under varied lighting and weather conditions. 
• Conducts daily safety inspections of equipment and rigging and keeps inspection records
  Moves blades from production area or shipping yard to the yard or vice versa as required; physically prepares blades for shipment including completing all documentation, loads blades on trains and truck for shipment, safely with no damage to equipment or product. Directs blade transporters to used correct transport interface shapes and the correct procedure for transport. 
• Clears and removes snow from walkway, receiving/shipping yard; 
• Operates company vehicle for running errands and transporting stored dividends from the warehouse to the plant, or for the pick up of items from several locations from racks, production floor or receiving.
