Manufacturing Engineer

Owens Corning is seeking a skilled, experiencedManufacturing Engineer to join its dynamic team. Responsibilities:

• Mechanical Engineering support for mill requirements to ensure production
• Determine, assist, and troubleshoot mechanical equipment, including, among others, motors, couplings, gearboxes, clutches, fans, pumping equipment, pneumatic or hydraulic steam systems, and transporting (mechanical or pneumatic) and pipes/ductwork
• A few times a year, structural analysis and design work.
• Sometimes, psychrometric analysis
• Assist maintenance staff with the problem-solving process and making modifications to equipment
• Provide mechanical engineering assistance for capital projects.
• Work in conjunction with Electrical and Process Engineers, and also the area operations and maintenance
• Establish the scope of work with the contractors and be clear about the schedule coordination efforts
• Create and modify drawings using AutoCAD
