Mechanical Engineer

Gradiant is actively seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join their dynamic team. The selected candidate will ensure the fleet operates at peak performance, directly contributing to safety, efficiency, and sustainability in daily operations.

Responsibilities:

• Create mechanical design software, including pipe layouts, pump sizes, tank design, valve selection, and specifications for mechanical equipment.
• Review and prepare P&IDs, PFDs, and General arrangement plans, as well as equipment datasheets.
• Conduct Hydraulic calculations (pressure drop and flow rates, as well as calculation of head pump).
• Make sure that designs are compliant with the pertinent standards such as ASME, API, ASTM, ISO, NFPA, and AWWA.
• Make sure you select the right equipment for:
• Pumps (centrifugal, submersible, dosing)
• Compressors, Blowers
• Clarifiers, filters, screens
• RO systems and UF/MF skids
• Chemical dosing equipment
• Coordinate with stakeholder teams throughout design and execution.
• Examine vendor drawings and technical documents, and check for conformance with the project's specifications.
• Make BOQs, technical evaluations, and support procurement activities.
• Control contractor activities and ensure that they adhere to the safety and quality standards.
• Support maintenance plans as well as preventive maintenance schedules and lists of spare parts.
• Make O&M guides and training materials for plant workers.
