Senior Hydraulic Structures Engineer

Black & Veatch is actively seeking a skilled and experienced senior hydraulic structures engineer to join their dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for dedicated professionals. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring our fleet operates at peak performance, contributing directly to the safety, efficiency, and sustainability of our operations. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Communication and direct interaction with counterparts of the client to determine the most important interests of clients for identifying technical solutions to the infrastructure challenges they face, offering strategies and ideas to take projects from conception to finalization.
• Transforming client directions into effective plans for work and working with team members of the project to produce top-quality work results.
• Writing technical documents in writing such as technical drawings and specifications and cost estimates, alternatives analysis, and other typical engineering deliverables
• Be familiar with designs guides and standards, systems, and engineering codes that are applicable for the industry of hydropower
• The ability to apply understanding of the general principles of engineering, including hydraulics and civil/structural designs Geotechnical issues, as well as mechanical systems to create innovative engineered solutions.
• Assisting in the calculation and designing documents.
• Participating in the procurement of equipment and the construction management process.
• Supervising and guiding engineers in junior engineering.
• Supporting teams of business development for pursuit tasks. You will also have the chance to manage projects you are pursuing and acquiring.
