Mechanical Engineer

Gradiant is actively seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join their dynamic team. The selected candidate will ensure the fleet operates at peak performance, directly contributing to safety, efficiency, and sustainability in daily operations.

Responsibilities:

• Create mechanical design tools, such as pipe layouts, pump sizes, as well as design of tanks, valves, and mechanical equipment specifications.
• Review and prepare P&IDs, PFDs, and general layout drawings as well as equipment datasheets.
• Conduct Hydraulic calculations (pressure drop, flow, and calculations of the head of the pump).
• Make sure that designs are compliant with the pertinent standards such as ASME, API, ASTM, ISO, NFPA, and AWWA.
• Conduct equipment selection to:
• Pumps (centrifugal, submersible, dosing)
• Blowers, compressors,
• Filters, clarifiers, and screens
• RO systems Skids for UF/MF, RO systems
• Chemical dosing equipment
• Work with stakeholder internal teams for design and execution.
• Examine vendor drawings and technical submissions, and verify that they are in line with project specifications.
• Make BOQs, technical evaluations, and support procurement activities.
• Check the activities of contractors and ensure compliance with the safety and quality standards.
• Offer support to maintenance plans, as well as preventive maintenance schedules and lists of spare parts.
• Make O&M manuals and training materials that plant employees can use.
