Assembler

Vermeer is actively seeking a skilled and experienced Assembler to join their dynamic team. The selected candidate will ensure the fleet operates at peak performance, directly contributing to safety, efficiency, and sustainability in daily operations.

What You’ll Do

1. Read instructions provided in the product job order instruction and assemble/attach equipment and/or subassemblies to equipment to meet Vermeer’s quality standards.

2. Position components and bolts to the assembly. Tighten bolts and moving parts to meet torque specifications. Test to confirm moving parts move in the intended direction.

3. Confirm painted parts meet quality requirements.

4. Place decals, company logos, safety warnings, and other items on the finished product. May also install doors, panels, and other machine guarding.

5. Perform calculations and use basic math operations (e.g., fractions and decimals).

6. Support workplace organization initiatives, i.e., 5S, within the department and suggests improvements that help move the department towards its performance board targets.
