Mechanical Assembler

Essential Job Functions

• Will perform a variety of mechanical and electrical assembly tasks including but not limited to assembling hydraulic equipment, performing mechanical installations and adjustments and mechanically finalizing and testing equipment prior to ship
• Will work from engineering prints, routings and shop instructions with limited supervision
• Will be responsible for the quality and safety of own work and use of related personal protective equipment
• As directed by an Electrical Assembler, will install harnesses, cables, and power cables, without making final connections
• Will disassemble and pack equipment for shipment as directed
• May do some light carpentry such as layout, sawing, and building boxes, crates, and ladders
• Will use information systems as necessary to perform job responsibilities
• Will operate equipment or perform inspection including appropriate record keeping
• May work with Engineering for introduction of new models or for continuous improvement
