Lead Professional - Civil Engineer

WSP is actively seeking a skilled and experienced lead professional—civil engineer—to join their dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for dedicated professionals. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring our fleet operates at peak performance, contributing directly to the safety, efficiency, and sustainability of our operations. 

Responsibilities:

• Delivering the scope of water engineering on multidisciplinary projects, assuring that quality and cost as well as time targets are attained
• Engineering design may include, but is not be limited to, the following aspects:
• Hydraulic designs, including components for water treatment including pipelines, pumps and pump stations
• Stormwater design including run-off, culvert, stormwater network
• A requirement for tendering like BOQ quantification or pricing
• The contractual process and the project's execution that conforms with international standards and WSP Global standards
• Make sure that all work is in compliance with the applicable international and local standards as well as WSP regulations and quality management processes
• All business units must work together in order to supply water services for all industries across South Africa, Africa, and around the world.
• Participate in innovative the treatment process, sustainability energy efficiency, resource recovery
• Keep up-to-date with the latest technological developments, legislative changes and trends in the industry
• Participate in the execution of water engineering and treatment technology plans (e.g., membrane systems, biological treatment, advanced process of oxidation, brine and sludge handling) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams that provide turnkey solutions for clients
• Coach and mentor junior members on all aspects of their growth, including professional registration
